Spiced Pear Puree

INGREDIENTS

2 pears

Teaspoon cinnamon

Tablespoon of breastmilk or formula - optional

 

METHOD

  1. Peel the pear. Core the pear and cut it into small chunks.

  2. Place the pear into a steamer over some simmering water for approximately 8 minutes.

  3. Place the pear into a food processor with the cinnamon. Add in the milk or use a tablespoon of water. Blitz the mixture until it is smooth. You may need to stop the blender and scrape down the sides a few times to ensure consistency within the puree.

  4. This puree is suitable for freezing. Simply freeze it in some freezer bags or place the mixture into ice cube trays for smaller portions.
