About me

Rebecca

I am a 26 year old nanny, born and raised in a Leicestershire village. In early 2015 I left my job as a nursery worker to move to London where I began work as a live-in Nanny to two wonderful children, aged 20 months and 7 years old. In 2016, I moved with them to Zürich, Switzerland before returning to London a year later to study Psychology at university. During my time at university I was an after-school nanny for several families as well as a summer nanny in Geneva, caring for multiple children ranging between the ages of 2 and 11 years-old.

I graduated in 2020 with first-class honours and an award for my dissertation on childhood language acquisition. I then began a new full-time nanny job with two girls aged 5 months and 2 years-old. I worked for the family for three years, helping the girls blossom into the wonderful girls they are today! I am currently a nanny for a newborn and his 19-month old brother, so I am in the thick of it right now, and loving it!

My passion for childcare heavily influenced my decision to begin a Masters in children’s mental health in 2022, at the University of Edinburgh, which I will complete in the summer of 2024.

I currently live in West London with my Pomeranian pup, Oatie. Maisie and I created this blog in the hopes of inspiring and informing parents and carers using the knowledge and experience we have collected over the years.
