Publisher: Walker books

Aimed at age: 2-6

Gustavo is a ghost. He is very good at doing all the things that ghosts do, such as walking through walls, making things fly and glowing in the dark. Gustavo loves to make music. But Gustavo has one problem, he is shy. Being shy makes things much harder for Gustavo. Gustavo finds it very hard to talk to other monsters or wait in line to buy eye-scream. The little ghost longs to be part of something and be seen. But more than anything, Gustavo wants a friend. He gathers all the courage he has and sends a special letter to all the other monsters inviting them to his violin concert at the day of the dead party.

Many children who are shy in school and around other people will be able to relate to Gustavo. It is also an exceptional read for children who may fear halloween. Gustavo is a very cute and friendly ghost, showing children that there is nothing to be scared of when it comes to ghosts and monsters!
