This vibrant story is an excellent tool for introducing young children to the topic of disability. We are all different. We all look different. We all sound different. We all like different things. These differences make us human and it is all part of human diversity.

The book covers all the basics facts about disability such as one in six people in the world have a disability. The book explores the different disabilities people may have, why some people do things differently and the ways in which they do things. It serves as a teaching tool to show your child that disability is not a negative thing, it is not something to be ashamed of or ridiculed. We should be proud of all of our differences.

There are some tricky words that appear in the book such as neurodivergent or ableism. But don't fret, the book is designed to unpack these concepts in a direct and simple manner that can be understood by all. The book is not limited to exploring the definitions of disability, it also celebrates it with an unapologetic and joyous energy. It is an excellent book to open up the conversation of disability with your child and celebrate everyones uniqueness.
